There are some easily overlooked issues that need to be taken seriously when processing injection molds. Injection molds, as a special processing method, are mainly used in the production of plastic products. However, due to its particularity, even minor errors can lead to substandard product quality. Therefore, when carrying out injection molding of molds, the following issues must be noted.

1. Check for signs of wear between the guide column and guide sleeve after injection molding.

If signs of scratching are found, it is likely due to a lack of lubrication. In this case, the extension of the guide column and guide sleeve can be achieved by adding more lubrication

life. If the wear is severe, it is necessary to replace the new parts in a timely manner, otherwise the mismatch between the cavity and the core will result in different thicknesses of the cavity wall.

2. Check the flow rate of the injection mold,

Especially the hose connecting the outlet of the waterway to ensure smooth water flow. If the water quality is found to be unclear or the water flow is not smooth, it may indicate that there is a blockage problem somewhere, which may even lead to rust. Therefore, it is crucial to regularly check the condition of the waterway to ensure smooth water flow.

3. Regularly clean the top pin.

Due to the accumulation of gas and film like impurities, the ejector pin is prone to getting dirty. It is recommended to use mold cleaner every six to twelve months for cleaning to ensure the normal operation of the ejector pin.

4. Check if there is any fracture in the radius area of the hot nozzle.

Fracture is usually caused by loose and hardened plastic fragments remaining in the hot nozzle of the machine during the spraying process. If a serious fracture is found that cannot prevent petal leakage (i.e. plastic leakage between the guide sleeve and the machine’s hot nozzle), the guide sleeve should be replaced in a timely manner to ensure the smooth progress of the production process.

Plastic mold manufacturers, injection molding molds are a complex process that requires a high level of vigilance towards details. Only through regular inspection and maintenance, timely detection and resolution of problems, can we ensure smooth production and stable improvement of product quality. Therefore, these issues must not be ignored when injection molding molds.
