The reasons for the confinement of the development of the casting mold industry
Firstly, although the importance of the casting mold industry has been increasingly recognized by more and more people, it has not yet reached the desired level. Therefore, its status has not been fully adjusted, policies cannot be fully implemented, and the strength and intensity of support it receives are insufficient. As for the characteristics of the mold industry, there are not many people who truly understand it except for industry insiders. To gain greater support, the propaganda task remains heavy.
Secondly, compared with the international advanced level, there is a significant gap in the concept, design, process, technology, experience and other aspects of China’s casting mold industry. Overall, we are still in the stage of tracking and learning from advanced countries, with insufficient innovation, and have not yet reached the stage of information manufacturing and management and innovation. We are only at a medium level in the world. The overall level of the industry is about 15 years behind the international advanced level, with the gap in online detection and information management of casting mold processing being more than 15 years. Narrowing the gap is a long and arduous task.
Thirdly, the period of rapid economic growth in our country is coming to an end, and it will continue to show an even moderate trend in the future. Rising costs and declining profit margins will become the norm, and the constraints of energy and ecological environment will become increasingly significant. Structural adjustment and transformation of growth mode are urgent, and there are many variable factors internationally. In this situation, it is difficult but necessary for the casting mold industry to maintain stable growth and sustainable development at a high speed. Industry insiders are facing the challenge of solving this problem.
The reasons for the confinement of the development of the casting mold industry
Fourthly, the shortage of talents, especially middle and senior level talents, has become an important bottleneck for the development of the mold industry. Although we have made many achievements in talent cultivation in recent years, there is still a big gap between us and the demand. China’s demographic dividend is decreasing, and human resources will be tightened for a long time. Strengthening talent cultivation to meet needs, applying high-tech, promoting the integration of information technology and industrialization, developing informatization, standardization, and automation to reduce production labor are all tasks before us. Although some of these are long-term goals, they must be taken seriously.
Fifth, the phenomenon of financing difficulties, increasing accounts receivable, tight funds, rising costs, and continuously declining profit margins for small and medium-sized enterprises still exists and cannot be well solved, and it is still developing. Energy supply is tight in some southern provinces and cities, and industrial electricity usage is still restricted.
